Working out at home has become essential since the pandemic hit and we all had to stay home. My gym closed and I had to turn to my pathetic collection of dumbbells and an old beat up weight bench. Since then I have slowly grown to a bigger and better gym space using Titan Fitness equipment for most of the stuff I need to get a good workout. See more about my Home Gym space.
I became interested in Titan Fitness after shopping other places for reasonably priced and well made gym equipment for my home gym. First, I tried out some Marcy equipment and didn’t like the quality. I also bought some used equipment from Offerup and had mixed reviews about the equipment that I got. Basically, I needed a cable machine which is something I really didn’t want to buy used because they can get pretty worn out. The best quality and most reasonable priced cable machine I could find was from Titan Fitness and I’ve been really happy with it which is why it’s my first pick.
1. Plate Loaded Lat Tower
This was my first piece of gym equipment from Titan and I couldn’t be more please with it. Priced at under $600 and with free shipping, you can’t beat it. There’s a cable on the floor for rows and curls as well as a cable up top for lat pulldowns. With some additional handles and accessories you can work out legs, back, chest, and arms. Click here for in inexpensive set of handles from Amazon https://amzn.to/4ddsmkd . Definitely a lot of bang for your buck.
2. Functional Trainer
Obviously, if money and space are no object, the functional trainer is one of my favorite choices. This one gives you the a lot more versatility to do a variety of chest exercises and you have more adjustable heights to vary your workout.
3. Smith Machine
The beauty of a good Smith Machine is that you can go heavy while still getting an assist when needed. Generally, it’s like having a spotter with you all the time. You can use it for a squat rack or chest press as well as many other exercises. You have the ability to do progressive overload while having assistance with the heavier load.
4. Leg Extension and Ham Curl Machine
This is the best bang for your buck for lower body workouts since you can hit both hamstrings and quadriceps. There are also some creative gym rats out there who have figured out some glute workouts you can do with this too. Since its plate loaded, you can overload on it as well.
5. Bumper Plates
Finally, this is a good time to recommend the Color Bumper Plates from Titan as well. You will need Olympic plates to load these machines and Titan makes beautiful color bumper plates in all weights.
